I already have enough information on super foods and REALLY needed good recipes. That's exactly what I got in this book. Even a healthy way to dress up my popcorn snacks that I hadn't thought of. I'll be using this book a lot as I have auto-immune issues and eat mostly bland food, except my special vegetable soup that I spice up with curry. Now I will have more choices - I'm so glad I found this - its a nice addition to one other book I purchased!

I try to incorporate superfoods into my daily menus and this book has some delicious ones to try. I love cooking and trying new recipe ideas and I would recommend this book if you are trying to be healthier.
There are some healthy recipes but which they contained serving contents (calories, sodium, etc). Includes healthy snack recipes granola bars, muffins, etc.
Unless a person has been living under a rock for the last few years, they have likely heard of foods (superfoods) that have properties that prevent or lessen cell damage by environmental toxins, some unsaturated dietary fats, and even simple aging. Traditional ways of adding these foods to the diet are boring and uninspired. Susan Daniels has helped address this issue with her book on superfood recipes.

There is something here for everyone, whether you prefer beef, poultry, fish, salads, veggies, snacks, or desserts as the mode of getting these nutrients into your diet. Most of the recipes can be made with ingredients you normally have in your pantry. A few of them have new ingredients for me, and I can't wait to see how they will affect my energy level and overall well being.
There are hundreds if not thousands of recipe books on the internet but this one stands out as a special one because it focuses on Super Foods that are rich in phytonutrients. If you are a health conscious person like I am then this is the recipe book for you. I must congratulate Susan for bringing out such a wonderful recipe book. As the author of the book  Weight Loss Choosing a Diet That's Right For You! I have been looking for a book with recipes to complement the diet information.

This book has great recipes, all based on what by many is called superfood. The basic foodstuff used in this book will in most cases fit right in with a number of the most commonly used diets of today.

And even if you're not on a diet, they can brighten your day.

There's a lot of good salmon dishes, plenty of nuts and berrys and some veggies thrown in.

The only thing I would have liked, as a complement to a diet is some kind of stats on the dish or the ingredients. Things like calories, carbs, fat and similar. This would have made it a 5 star book!
This book contains a selection of main courses, snacks and desserts. The main courses tend to have one or two superfoods as part of their ingedients, while many of the snacks and desserts have a much higher superfood content. I was really pleased to see a number of different recipe ideas for using kelp and seaweed - I've known for a long time these ocean vegetables are incredibly good for you but I've never really known how to prepare them. I'll definitely be giving some of these ideas a try now.
This is a nicely laid out cookbook with interesting and healthy recipes. I especially enjoy the descriptions of the meals. It really helped me to get an idea of what the meal would be like. The spinach, red lentil and bean curry is delicious!

I also really enjoyed the overview of what super-foods are and how they are used. I'm always looking for ways to get healthier, and it's nice to see how easy it is to incorporate super-foods into everyday cooking.

Overall a great cookbook - great variety, great information, and tasty recipes!
